An Introduction to Hadith and Hadith Technical Terminology
Based upon Ibn Hajar al-'Asqalani's primer on hadith science: Chosen Thoughts on the Nomenclature of Hadith Specialists (Nukhbat al-Fikar fi Mustalah Ahl-Athar).
40 Hadith An-Nawawi
Commentaries based on 'Al-Jawahir al-L'uluiyyah': by Muhammad bin 'Abdillhi al-Jurdani al-Dimyati and 'Al-Waafi': by Dr Mustafa al-Bugha & Muhiyyudin al-Mistu.
Course Outcomes
Complete a short commentary on all 42 hadith in the famous collection by Imam Nawawi which cover the main essential concepts in Islam.
To understand the definition and classifications of Hadith & the major collections and their compilers.
Course Teachers
Shaykh Tanveer Hussain
Shaykh Tanveer has been studying the Islamic Sciences in Syria for over 8 Years with notable teachers as: Shaykh Dr. Samir al-Nass, Shaykh Abdul-Razzaq al-Halabi, Shaykh Adeeb Kallas, Shaykh Muhammad al-Yaquobi, and Shaykh Anas al-Hibri and graduated from M'ahad al-Fath al-islami.
Shaykh Zubair Solkair
Shaykh Zubair has memorized the Holy Qur'an and studied the Dars e Nizami (Multiple Islamic Sciences) which is licensed to teach. After which he is continuing his learning with the notable Shaykh Afifi al-Akiti and has travelled to Yemin in the holy land of Tarim and studied under the tutelage of Habib Umar bin Hafiz.
Course Information
Student can opt to sit an exam in April to test their understanding and to receive certification.
